STEM for Girls is an inclusive and empowering program designed to inspire and engage young girls in the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Established in 2021, the club provides hands-on learning experiences through interactive workshops, encouraging girls to build confidence in their STEM abilities.
Through collaborative projects, problem-solving activities, and exposure to real-world applications, STEM for Girls nurtures curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, empowering members to dream big and aim high.



Kawajit Kaur
Founder of STEM for Girls St Helens
Kawajit is a highly experienced educator with over a decade of teaching at St. Helens District High School and a proven track record as a successful business owner. She possesses extensive academic credentials, including tertiary qualifications in international relations, education, business systems, network computing, and other disciplines, reflecting her diverse expertise.
Since leading STEM education in St. Helens District High School, Kawajit has been dedicated to addressing the gap in STEM engagement, particularly among young girls. Recognising the need for increased opportunities, she founded the "STEM for Girls" initiative to empower young girls with essential STEM skills and expose them to pathways for future success in the field.
